PROMOTE YOUR BOOK
on indiebookroom.com

Indie Bookroom is devoted to helping independent authors and small publishers promote their quality Christian books.

The Indie Bookroom provides visibility for your book in the following ways: (1) Listings; (2) Reviews; (3) Book Release Announcements; (4) Author Interviews; and (5) Featured Books presentations.

All except (5) are free.

Listings

The easiest and quickest facet of promotion can be found in our listings pages, which include listings by author, book title, and publisher. If you want to be listed according to the categories relevant to you, send Indie Bookroom the appropriate information, and you will be included. (Important note: Indie Bookroom reserves the right to refuse listings to any authors promoting something contrary to historic Christianity, as well as to books known to be very sloppily written or edited. However, the Indie Bookroom does not "pre-vet" simple listings—i.e. your book is "innocent until proven guilty.")

IMPORTANT: Please do not submit for other authors. Submit your own work only.

Reviews

If you would like your book reviewed, contact us and we will provide you with details for your reviewer. Digital books are acceptable, but of course, if your book is only available in hardcover or paperback, you will need to send a physical copy. Please understand that supplying a book is not guarantee of a review, and positive reviews will be granted solely on the basis of the merits of the book. No copies will be returned.

Book Release Announcements

Book release announcements function essentially like press releases. Simply send us an announcement when your book is released. Information is the same as what is required for the Books Page listing::

  • Complete title
  • Author name
  • Publication date
  • Formats available (e.g. hardcover, paperback, Kindle)
  • Brief annotation (1–2 sentences) describing contents of the book
  • Number of pages
  • Suggested retail price

You can also view Indie Bookroom's Latest Releases section to gain a sense of what you need to include.

Author Interviews

New interviews with authors appear on the front page, and then remain in the archive when fresh interviews are published.

You can contact Indie Bookroom to request to be interviewed. Interviews are generally in written format, but other ways of conducting the interview can be sought, if appropriate.

Featured Books Presentations

Books are featured in two ways: (1) Visually, in the display carousel on the front page and various other site pages; (2) the Featured Books page.

All authors desiring a Featured listing must send a physical copy of their book (sorry, no digital-only products in this category) to an Indie Bookroom reviewer. To qualify for a Featured listing, the book must be granted a positive review or assessment first. If it is to be a free listing, Indie Bookroom will add positively-reviewed books at its discretion.

At this time, the only paid service is “front five” display in the carousel. This high visibility display is linked to the book’s Featured page/section for further information. Do not pay in advance. Only approved books with a positive review or assessment will be included in the Featured Books display.

Terms of the paid service are as follows:

  • Only books previously assessed by Indie Bookroom will be approved for the display.
  • Introductory display fee is $80.
  • Paid books will be featured in center position a minimum of one month.
  • At the end of one month, paid books will remain in the “front five” position in the carousel for a minimum of two more months.
  • Paid books may remain in the carousel indefinitely if not pushed out by other books, but Indie Bookroom offers no guarantee of inclusion past three months.
  • If multiple books are eligible for display in the center position, a new book may be displayed in another “front five” position until the first book’s month is up. But every paid book will have center position in the display for a minimum of one month.
